Construction on the main building began in 1784 by a Revolutionary War captain in the Continental Army, Samuel Blood, who was a successful merchant and farmer. This historic property is a Bolton village landmark and a featured attraction of New England fall foliage tours. Bolton is a village near Boston Massachusetts incorporated in 1738.
