Felipe Ballestas, former Merrill Lynch FA, joins Bolton Global

Bolton Global Capital is pleased to announce that Felipe Ballestas has joined the firm’s Miami office. Felipe held the position of Senior Vice President with Merrill Lynch where he worked for the past 22 years. He was a member of a two person FA team at Merrill managing over $350 million in client assets.  Felipe will be joining the Ballestas Group which was formed by his brother, Andres Ballestas, when he left Merrill Lynch two years ago and joined Bolton Global. The Ballestas Group has over $200 million in client assets primarily from Mexico, Colombia and the US. “We are pleased to have such a respected professional affiliate with our organization and look forward to supporting the continued growth of the Ballestas Group.” according to Ray Grenier, CEO of Bolton. Felipe resides in downtown Miami with his wife Shellee their three children.

With the affiliation of Felipe Ballestas, Bolton is continuing to establish its position as a premier destination for top wirehouse teams transitioning to the independent business model. Over the past two years, the firm’s Miami office has acquired more than a dozen major teams from Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, RBC Wealth Management as well as Citi and HSBC Private Banks. Bolton has leased additional space at 801 Brickell Avenue to accommodate the growth of its business.
